This program is being offered in cooperation with UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing.
The program provides a comprehensive review of the recognition of normal ear anatomy and the most common etiologies of sore throat in the pediatric population. This program also provides beginners guide for the basics of examination of the ear and tympanic membrane and red flags when completing assessments. The program reviews how to get a better diagnosis of otitis media, otitis media (OM) with effusion, and problems with the external of the ear. The most common methods of diagnosing sore throat related illness will also be discussed. Common treatments will be discussed in terms of the pediatric population.
