Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST II) is a program within the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health. ReCAST II is a 4 year SAMHSA funded program who’s goal is to create a more resilient Mecklenburg County by supporting trauma informed care in in the roots of the community, increasing access to quality mental health care, and supporting the work of community violence prevention. ReCAST II (Resilience in Communities After Stress and Trauma) - Order in the Court! Clinical Practice and the Courts
This training will utilize information from expert attorneys, as well as, knowledge from clinicians experienced with the courts. We will discuss how to write treatment summaries for court submission, how to handle a subpoena, and what to do if you are called to the stand. Particular attention will be given to managing clients and their families who are involved in high conflict custody cases and trauma informed advocacy regarding children who have experienced abuse.
