Every year Levine Children’s Hospital hosts the Neonatalogy Symposium which is a conference geared toward regional clinicians practicing in neonatology. The Department of Neonatology is proud to announce the 12th Annual Charlotte Regional Neonatology Symposium: Enhancing the Management of the High-risk Neonate, sponsored by the Charlotte Area Health Education Center (AHEC). The event will be held on October 27, 2017 at the Suzanne Freeman Auditorium in Charlotte, NC.

Course Description
The purpose of this symposium is to provide neonatal evidence based research in hopes of impacting clinical practices and, thereby, enhancing patient outcomes.

9:30-10:30am Discuss Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA) in the neonate. Howard Stein, MD

10:30-11:30am Discuss the AAPs (Pediatric Endocrinology Section) suggested guidelines for the management of neonates with hypoglycemia. David Adamkin, MD
