Jack Handey, American humorist, stated, “If you think a weakness can be turned into a strength, I hate to tell you this, but that’s another weakness.”
For years the business community has focused on improving weaknesses. In Tom Rath's New York Times bestselling book StrengthsFinder 2.0, he shifts the focus from weakness to capitalizing on individual strengths. We'll use Rath's book in this workshop to help you find your own strengths as well as your team members’ in order to improve efficiency, teamwork and employee satisfaction, and ultimately, to produce better outcomes. Join us to take the StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment and learn more about your own strengths and how to be more content by capitalizing on those strengths in your personal and professional life. We will also discuss how to focus on your coworkers’ strengths during projects to redistribute responsibilities and, if you are in a managerial role, how to discuss and encourage your employees to focus on their strengths during the annual performance appraisal. You will receive a copy of the StrengthsFinder 2.0 book and teambuilding activities to take back to your workplace.
The StrengthsFinder 2.0 book and online assessment are included in the registration fee.
