Description
This course will cover the basic concepts of Taping for alignment, muscle imbalance, swelling and pain.
It is essential in the Hand Therapy to reduce swelling, mobilize fascia and reduce pain to speed up recovery and enhance patient outcomes. Learn treatment applications that can immediately be taken back to the clinic for diagnoses including Tennis elbow, ganglions, trigger finger, CMC arthritis, metacarpal fractures, stiff and painful fingers.
This course will include supporting research demonstration and extensive lab applications. We will also cover other treatments like IASTM, mobilization with motion "MWM" and discussions on visual motor imagery and how it can impact out patient outcomes. Additional Diagnoses will be covered according to group request.

Objectives
- Develop a basic understanding of the physiology behind several major Kinesio concepts.
- Develop a familiarity with new and effective hand taping applications and have enough knowledge to start implementing these applications in their clinical settings.
- Gain new problem solving skills when analyzing movement from a perspective of muscle imbalance, alignment and origins and insertions.
