This seminar is jointly provided by Charlotte AHEC and NC Infusion Nurses Society.

Please come join us for the NC Infusion Nurses Society Seminar! This is a great opportunity to network with infusion nurses that are working in different clinical settings!

The purpose of this annual seminar is to bring awareness and provide information regarding the core elements of infusion nursing to include current technology and clinical applications and performance improvement through good catheter management practices.

Infusion Therapy from Hospital to the Home Setting – Bridging the Gap
Lisa Gorski, MS, HHCNS-BC, CRNI®, FAAN

Lisa GorskiLisa Gorski has worked for over 30 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for Wheaton Franciscan Home Health & Hospice, now Part of Ascension at Home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is the author of over 50 journal articles and several books on infusion therapy topics. She is the author of the 7th edition of the Manual of IV Therapeutics (2018). She also authored the 2017 book: Fast Facts for Nurses About Home Infusion Therapy. She is an editor for INS’ 2010 textbook, Infusion Nursing: An Evidence-Based Approach and also for the forthcoming 2018 edition which is in progress. She served as the 2007-2008 INS President, and is the chair of the INS Standards of Practice Committee and led the INS Vesicant Task Force. In 2006, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing. Lisa was named the 2003 CRNI of the Year by INS and the 2011 CNS of the Year by the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists. She has spoken nationally and internationally on standards development, home health care and home infusion therapy.
