The profession of health and wellness coaching has emerged to address an urgent and widespread need to help people increase the quality and years of healthy life.
Health Coaching is an effective way to help people improve their quality of life through proven behavior change techniques to elicit motivation and engage more preventative health behaviors. This training uses a person-centered approach that helps clients with developing self-management skills that improve self-awareness for change and goal attainment.
The training emphasizes an evidence-based framework to guide the coaching relationship using communication approaches such as motivational interviewing and the teach-back method to support shared decision-making. In addition, cognitive behavioral strategies are used, including self-regulation, goal setting, realistic expectations and exploring barriers and support.
This live interactive 3-Day Zoom Health Coach Certificate training is taught by UNC Greensboro Health Coaching Training Program Trainers, who are National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC). They provide a powerful and practical framework that professionals can use with clients to support meaningful and sustainable changes for improved health and well-being. Participants will be introduced to a variety of techniques that help clients build self-confidence and motivation while addressing the barriers to identifying their own solutions and achieving their goals.
This 3-Day Zoom webinar training is highly engaging and interactive with frequent hands-on practical experiences, collaborative activities and feedback specifically designed to prepare you to meet the standards of competence in health and wellness coaching. Participants will use video and audio for all three days of this training.
