This annual summit will provide important updates of Thoracic Oncology topics presented by a diverse group of physicians, pharmacists, advanced practice providers and nurse navigators. The course will have a virtual option as well for those unable to attend the live meeting.

Atrium Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AAPA accepts certificate of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 5.25 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.

Charlotte Area Health Education Center is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Continuing Education Credit For Pharmacists:
The University Of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The program ACPE #0046-9999-22-162-L01-P (Pharmacists) provides 5.25 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. To receive CE credit, you must complete the CE attendance form and the evaluation of the program. Statement of credit can be viewed and printed in CPE Monitor. Statements of CE Credit will be processed in approximately 2 to 3 weeks. **No partial credit will be available**

Learning Outcome
Participants will be able to self-report knowledge gain of evidence-based practice related to thoracic oncology and using interdisciplinary team approach to improve patient outcomes.

Objectives

  • Identify abnormal lung cancer findings on thoracic imaging and refer appropriately to a diagnostic team.
  • Identify quality measures in lung cancer across the multidisciplinary spectrum.
  • Discuss emerging therapies in lung cancer with associated adverse effects.
