The purpose of this event is to increase shared knowledge in the community of the strategies, tools, and resources for trauma-informed approach and resilience. This event is funded through ReCAST Mecklenburg, a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) grant awarded to Mecklenburg County Public Health. ReCAST supports community-based approaches to improved behavioral health and violence prevention for youth and families that strengthen ways communities collectively reduce trauma and engage and empower residents for sustained community change and healing.
Who Should Attend?
This event is for faculty and staff of the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System who have completed the 14-hour Reconnect training.
Event Information
After attending a 14-hour Reconnect training, those who would like to deepen their knowledge and build their confidence using our resiliency tools, are eligible to attend a six-hour Resiliency Champions workshop and receive additional coaching and technical assistance from the Resources for Resilience™ team. This specialized package prepares Champions to share and implement resiliency-focused tools and information with others in their community creating a more resilient and healthier community!
