The Breathe Easy NC Professional Development Series will prepare professionals from diverse disciplines and settings to help those with behavioral health conditions to become tobacco-free. See the below topics/dates and links for registration.

Treating Adolescents and Young Adults: The Clinical Approach
Tobacco and non-tobacco nicotine use among adolescents is common and poses substantial health risks to teens. Effective management requires proactive screening, youth-centered counseling, and evidence-based treatment strategies. In this training we will examine the impacts of nicotine on adolescent neurodevelopment and mental health, highlight newer products which increase the risks of addiction and negative health impacts, and review the latest guidance on treatment.
