Description

As Executive Director of the NC Board of Pharmacy, Jay Campbell, IV, JD, RPh will be explaining important updates and changes in NC law that could impact you.

This knowledge-based CPE activity will provide the pharmacist and pharmacy technician with an update on recent changes in North Carolina and United States Congress pharmacy law.

Continuing Education Credit For Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians:
The University Of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The program ACPE## 0046-9999-24-078-L03-P/T (Pharmacist/Pharmacy Tech) provides 2.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. To receive CE credit, you must complete the CE attendance form and the evaluation of the program. Statement of credit can be viewed and printed in CPE Monitor. Statements of CE Credit will be processed in approximately 2 to 3 weeks. **No partial credit will be available**

Registering for and attending a South Piedmont AHEC program authorizes South Piedmont AHEC to take audio, video, and/or still images to be used for promotional and educational purposes. If you have concerns, please speak with a South Piedmont AHEC team member.

Objectives

  • PHARMACIST: Discuss and apply recent statutory changes enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly and the United States Congress that affect the practice of pharmacy.
  • PHARMACIST: Discuss and apply recent rule changes promulgated by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy that affect the practice of pharmacy.
  • PHARMACIST: Discuss statutory or rules-based violations that Board staff frequently encounter and discuss means of preventing and/or remedying such violations.
  • Pharmacy Technician: List at least two recent statutory changes enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly and the United States Congress that affect the practice of pharmacy.
  • Pharmacy Technician: Describe recent rule changes promulgated by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy that affect the practice of pharmacy.
  • Pharmacy Technician: Identify at least two statutory or rules-based violations that Board staff frequently encounter and discuss means of preventing and/or remedying such violations.
