Description

Fear of public speaking is a familiar kind of anxiety that affects many people and can potentially impact your career success. Fear of public speaking can manifest itself in ways that range from a slight feeling of nervousness all the way to outright panic or a paralyzing fear. As a result, many people may miss career opportunities because they either avoid public speaking altogether or never become good at it because they suffer anxiety symptoms whenever talking to an audience. In this class, we will explore both the “why” of public speaking anxiety along with the “how” of different approaches you can use to become more comfortable in these situations.

Your Instructor:

David Hainline’s experience as a public speaker spans several decades before audiences ranging from small groups all the way to statewide conferences. His mission in this class is to help you become more comfortable talking to groups, sharing a range of public speaking ideas and strategies that he has accumulated as a teacher, organizational leader and subject matter expert.
