We all have unique brains, each with their own strengths. Since the late 1990s, the term “neurodiverse” has gained traction as a paradigm for understanding atypical brain types as a naturally occurring variant. This 3-hour workshop equips mental health counselors with the knowledge and skills to provide affirming and effective care for neurodiverse clients. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the neurodiversity paradigm, shifting from a deficit-based view to one that recognizes and values neurodivergent strengths and experiences.
