Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants
As the population ages, rehabilitation professionals must adapt to the evolving needs of their patients. Today’s older adults are active and strive to maintain their independence. To meet these expectations, rehabilitation professionals need to engage this generation with more challenging activities, requiring a different set of tools and skills than those initially learned. This virtual course will introduce participants to functional strengthening for older adults, covering various exercise formats and functional movement patterns. It will review multi-joint, functional exercises and provide strategies to progress or regress these exercises based on patient presentation and clinical environment. This course will equip therapists with a diverse set of tools for effective exercise prescription tailored to older adults.
*Courses may be rescheduled/cancelled due to low registration.*
