Strengthen your researching skills. This module introduces how to use several elements in searches, including Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), Boolean searches, and limiters. Later modules will demonstrate deeper dives into databases and other elements of research.

Objectives

• Instruct healthcare professionals and students on the basics of research.
• Illustrate how to use Boolean searching for more accurate and precise searches.
• Explain what medical subject headings (MeSH) are and how to use them for more efficient database searching.
• Discuss how to use this information to build precise searches in order to construct more accurate search strategies.
