For individuals new to breastfeeding education and peer counselors who seek to enhance their knowledge and skills. This course provides essential insights into lactation, equipping participants with the tools to guide and support mothers as they begin their breastfeeding journey.

Session B:
Give Your Prenatal BF Education a Boost
Hannah Edens, MPH, RD, LDN, IBCLC, RLC

A specialized session designed for experienced lactation consultants seeking to enhance their knowledge of prenatal breastfeeding education as a cornerstone for setting realistic expectations and overcoming potential challenges. Attendees will also enhance their counseling techniques, focusing on providing compassionate and impactful guidance to pregnant individuals and their families.

South Piedmont Area Health Education Center (South Piedmont AHEC) Nursing Education is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
