Public cord blood donation holds tremendous promise as a life-saving resource, yet it remains vastly underutilized due to inconsistent education, lack of provider training, and limited public awareness—especially within underserved communities. This activity aims to transform the way prenatal care is delivered by embedding public cord blood education into routine prenatal workflows.
Through standardized training for healthcare providers and the development of clear institutional protocols, this effort will empower clinicians to confidently discuss public donation with eligible parents. To achieve lasting impact, this event will include resources for understanding the cultural nuances of cord blood donation, helping healthcare providers connect with and engage a broad range of families, fostering trust and participation across all populations.
