Recognizing that trauma remains the leading cause of death in children, the conference will bring together, representatives from North Carolina's four Pediatric Trauma Centers. These centers are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge care for injured children. Each Trauma Program offers a range of multidisciplinary services ensuring that injured children and their families receive the highest level of treatment and support. The conference will highlight the continuum of care for children who have experienced traumatic injuries, encompassing evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and ongoing care.
Throughout this conference, attendees will explore the full continuum of care for pediatric trauma patients—from initial evaluation and stabilization to treatment and long-term rehabilitation. By sharing expertise and best practices, we aim to strengthen multidisciplinary services that help restore children and their families to the highest possible quality of life after injury.
