Description

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses and nurse anesthetists, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals and aims to enhance anesthesia practices related to improved patient management across anesthesia subspecialties, awareness of environmental practices within anesthesia to reduce CO2 emissions, and other important issues.

Overall Objectives:
Apply performance improvement initiatives such as intraoperative blood pressure management, infection control and hypothermia, across anesthesia subspecialties.
Integrate environmental sustainability principles and practices to anesthesia for environment sustainability.
Evaluate key diversity, inclusivity and health equity principles and discuss cultural awareness sensitivities.
Employ communication, teamwork and conflict management principles to enhance patient safety and quality improvement with a focus areas such as patient critical events and adverse events.
