Join us for an engaging and practical course designed to strengthen your head-to-toe physical assessment techniques. Through a dynamic blend of interactive lectures and guided hands-on practice, you'll revisit essential skills for each body system while exploring their clinical relevance and documentation standards. Whether you're looking to reinforce foundational knowledge or elevate your assessment techniques, this course provides the tools, experience, and confidence to help you succeed in clinical practice.

Learning Outcome:
Participants will be able to conduct and document a culturally sensitive, comprehensive physical assessment using correct techniques and communication.

CE Credit:
Participants will be awarded 6.0 Nursing Contact Hours for attending at least 90% of this program and completing the post-course evaluation.

Objectives

  • Describe the purpose and components of a comprehensive head-to-toe physical assessment.
  • Demonstrate correct techniques for assessment across all body systems.
  • Identify normal and abnormal findings during physical assessment and discuss their clinical significance.
  • Sequence a head-to-toe assessment logically and efficiently to minimize patient discomfort and maximize data collection.
  • Utilize appropriate communication techniques to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort during assessments.
  • Document assessment findings accurately using standardized terminology and formats.
  • Integrate cultural, developmental, and age-related considerations into the assessment process.
