This comprehensive webinar series is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of the latest developments in the treatment and management of neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Muscular Dystrophies (MD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Participants will explore cutting-edge pharmacological therapies, genetic interventions, management strategies for quality patient care. The series will also highlight evidence-based exercise protocols and multidisciplinary approaches that enhance quality of life and functional outcomes. Each webinar will focus on one disorder within the framework.

Occupational Therapy
As of July 1, 2018, the NCBOT no longer accepts applications for pre-approval of CCAs. OT practitioners need to make sure they are completing activities that comply with Section .0800 of the NCBOT Rules.

  • Identify appropriate exercise and rehabilitation strategies tailored to each type of ALS progression, emphasizing safety, energy conservation, and functional mobility.
  • Evaluate the impact of early intervention and personalized care plans on disease progression, patient independence, and overall quality of life in patients with Muscular Dystrophies.
  • Describe the latest FDA-approved and investigational drug therapies for multiple sclerosis and their impact.
  • Apply current clinical guidelines and research findings to develop effective, patient-centered management plans for individuals living with Parkinson's Disease.
