2-part series workshop dates:

Thursday, April 23, 2026

This two-part workshop helps high school students gain confidence in navigating financial aid by breaking down the FAFSA process and exploring effective strategies for finding scholarships. In Part One, students learn the fundamentals of the FAFSA, including key terms, required documents, important deadlines, and how financial need is calculated. The session clarifies common myths and guides students through each section so they understand how the application works and how it connects to federal, state, and institutional aid.
In Part Two, the workshop focuses on identifying and applying for scholarships. Students discover how to search for opportunities that match their interests, backgrounds, and academic goals, and they learn tips for writing strong scholarship essays and staying organized throughout the application process. By the end of the workshop, participants will feel more prepared to pursue financial aid confidently and equipped with practical tools to reduce college costs through informed planning and proactive scholarship searches.
