This event is funded through ReCAST II Mecklenburg, a SAMHSA-funded grant initiative.*

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) develops a shared understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased by helping ourselves and others through simple wellness skills. Through CRM, individuals learn to read sensations connected to their own well-being and to expand their capacity to return to their resilient zones.

*Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST II) is a program within the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health. ReCAST II is a 4-year SAMHSA funded program. Its goal is to create a more resilient Mecklenburg County by supporting trauma-informed care in the roots of the community, increasing access to quality mental health care, and supporting the work of community violence prevention.
