The NC Nursing Workforce Research Fall Conference: From Data to Action: Leveraging Local Research to Solve State Workforce Challenges is a half-day virtual conference convened by the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (NC AHEC) Program and designed for nursing leaders, educators, researchers, workforce partners, and healthcare professionals committed to strengthening the nursing workforce.
Participants will hear from Cheryl Jones, PhD, RN, FAAN, a respected and well-known North Carolina nursing workforce expert, who will share evidence-based strategies for nurse retention. The conference will also feature Olga Yakusheva, PhD, MSE, FAAN, a nationally recognized expert on the economic value of nursing, who will explore nursing’s financial contribution and the return on investment in the nursing workforce.
Additional sessions will highlight innovative research, academic-practice partnerships, workforce development initiatives, technology-enabled solutions, and electronic poster presentations showcasing successful approaches to recruitment, retention, and workforce sustainability. Attendees will leave with current knowledge, practical strategies, and actionable ideas to address workforce challenges and support a strong, sustainable nursing workforce across healthcare settings.

- Registrants cancelling between two weeks and five full business days prior to the first day of the event are "refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee."
- No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than five full business days prior to the event.
- No refunds or credit will be given for no-shows.
- No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund.
