Target Audience

Social workers, psychologists, licensed professional counselors, educators, school personnel, mental health professionals, clinicians, health and human service practitioners, and other health care professionals.

Description

This training provides clinical professionals with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in trauma-informed mental health screening and assessment, particularly for children and families. Through an exploration of trauma, its impact on development, and the importance of early identification, participants will learn to utilize various screening tools and assessment strategies effectively. The training emphasizes the significance of a trauma-informed approach in building trust with families, accurately assessing symptoms, and developing targeted treatment plans. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to support the recovery and well-being of children and families affected by trauma by appropriate use of screening and assessment tools.
