Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians
This course explores the evolving role of pharmacists in expanding access to hormonal contraception in North Carolina. Participants will review current contraceptive options and the CDC Medical Eligibility Criteria, examine statewide trends in pharmacist-prescribed contraception, and develop practical workflows for implementation. The session also highlights lessons learned, including barriers and facilitators to providing contraception services in community pharmacy settings.

The University Of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The program ACPE # (Pharmacist and Pharmacy Tech) provides 2.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. To receive CE credit, you must complete the CE attendance form and the evaluation of the program. Statement of credit can be viewed and printed in CPE Monitor.
