This summit is for individuals or groups, especially those who engage in direct service provision for youth and families in Mecklenburg County.
The ReCAST II Resilience Summit brings together youth, community leaders, educators, and system partners for a youth-centered convening focused on collective resilience.
This summit will explore how authentic youth engagement, cross-sector collaboration, and strength-based strategies can reduce the impacts of stress, trauma, and community violence while fostering belonging, hope, and resilience.
Through keynote presentations and interactive sessions, the summit will highlight:
• The importance of youth voice in strengthening community resilience
• Collective approaches that support families, schools, and communities
• Healing centered practices that honor culture, identity, and lived experience
• Practical strategies for engaging youth in shaping safer, healthier futures
Designed for community members, youth-serving organizations, educators, public health, and behavioral health professionals, this summit equips participants to partner with youth in building resilient communities where they feel supported and empowered.
