Description

This two-day review course provides current, evidence-informed content relevant to psychiatric–mental health nursing practice and supports participants in preparing for the ANCC Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing Certification examination. The course strengthens the clinical knowledge of Registered Nurses who care for individuals and families experiencing common mental, behavioral, and emotional health concerns across the lifespan. Participants will benefit from test-taking strategies, study tips, and practice questions designed to enhance exam readiness. Participants will earn applicable contact hours that support both initial certification preparation and ongoing PMH-BC™ recertification requirements.

The ANCC Psychiatric–Mental Health Nursing board certification examination is a competency-based assessment that evaluates the entry-level clinical knowledge and skills of registered nurses in the psychiatric–mental health specialty. After meeting eligibility requirements and successfully passing the exam, nurses are awarded the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse – Board Certified (PMH-BC™) credential.
