This course will discusss the need for Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy based on national research, while identifying the barriers to integrating spirituality in behavioral health care. This will be presented in the historical context of the Pastoral Care and Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy continuum of care. At the end of this course you will be able to differentiate between Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy as a means of making appropriate referrals.
