This event is funded through ReCAST Mecklenburg, a SAMHSA-funded grant initiative.

REALIZE - Expanding Trauma Awareness
The overall design of the 90-minute session is to inform participants that in order to be truly trauma-informed, all people at all levels of a system, organization, and or institution need a basic awareness of trauma. Next, all participants will not only gain a better understanding of the manner trauma can affect individuals, their families, communities, and the organizations within their lives, but they will also recognize that not all who have been exposed to traumatic events struggle with adverse outcomes.
