Description

Substance use among older adults is a growing and underrecognized and overlooked public health concern, shaped by factors such as chronic pain, polypharmacy, social isolation, and life transitions. This presentation challenges age based stereotypes and highlights how substance use impacts health, function, and independence in later life. Clinicians from all disciplines will learn how to incorporate prevention, early identification, and collaborative responses into routine care.
