Description

Sexual health remains an important yet often overlooked aspect of well being in older adulthood. This interdisciplinary presentation examines sexuality in later life alongside the growing incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, among older adults. By challenging common myths about aging and sexuality, the session highlights age related risk factors, barriers to screening and communication, and the importance of inclusive, respectful clinical conversations. Emphasis is placed on improving awareness, assessment, and collaborative care to support sexual health and overall quality of life for older adults.
