Healthcare administrators, clinical leaders, health IT professionals, compliance officers, medical ethicists, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, medical educators, legal counsel in healthcare, and public health professionals.

Description

This course introduces key legal and ethical considerations in the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Participants will explore major federal and state laws governing AI technologies and examine core ethical principles such as autonomy, justice, and transparency. Designed for healthcare professionals and administrators, the course provides practical insights to support responsible and compliant AI integration in clinical settings.

As part of the Leadership at Lunch series, this session is designed for busy healthcare workers and leaders looking to grow their influence without disrupting their daily responsibilities. Held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, it’s an affordable and accessible opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills in a convenient format.

By attending the Legal and Ethical Foundations of AI in Healthcare offered by South Piedmont Area Health Education Center participants may earn up to 1.0 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation.
