Description

The ability to interact with individuals effectively and respectfully from different cultural backgrounds is essential for a thriving work environment. Effective communication underscores this thriving through clear exchange of information and ideas. As a field of study, cross-cultural communication investigates how people from diverse cultural backgrounds communicate in similar and different ways, allowing them to create and share meaning.
This course is designed to increase your cultural competence through increased awareness and understanding.

By attending the Cultural Competence: Cross-Cultural Communication in Healthcare offered by South Piedmont Area Health Education Center participants may earn up to 1.0 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation. Please note you must self report your participation in this course in order to receive ACHE Qualifying Education Hours.
