Healthcare leaders today are navigating an increasingly complex and demanding environment, often at the expense of their own well-being and team cohesion. In this engaging session, Dr. Lisa Foster, a seasoned clinician, educator, and leadership mentor, explores the signs of burnout in healthcare leadership and their impact on individuals, teams, and organizational outcomes. With over 38 years of frontline experience and more than two decades of teaching, Dr. Foster shares actionable strategies to build resilience and foster supportive leadership practices. Participants will leave equipped to strengthen personal well-being and cultivate sustainable, high-performing teams in any healthcare setting.
By attending the Leading Through the Fire: Building Resilience and Combating Burnout in Nursing Leadership offered by South Piedmont Area Health Education Center participants may earn up to 1.0 ACHE Qualifying Education Hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation. Please note that you must self report your participation in this course in order to receive ACHE Qualifying Education Hours.

Dr. Lisa M. Foster, DNP, RN, NPD-BC
Dr. Lisa Foster brings over 38 years of frontline healthcare experience and more than two decades teaching professionals across a variety of clinical and educational settings. She earned a Diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN from Winston Salem State University, and both a Master’s in Nursing (Education) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University. In her classes, Dr. Foster blends practical insights with proven strategies to help all healthcare professionals excel in an ever-evolving environment.
