Healing from trauma is not one-size-fits-all. This dynamic session introduces participants to four transformative approaches that are reshaping the landscape of trauma-informed care. From the science of safety to the power of inner connection, we’ll explore how these modalities support recovery, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. Through real-world examples and practical insights, this session will empower participants to recognize the value of these approaches and consider how they can be integrated into trauma-informed practice.
•Polyvagal Theory reveals how our nervous system responds to threat and safety, offering a roadmap for regulation and connection.
•Somatic Psychotherapy emphasizes the body’s role in healing, helping individuals release trauma stored in the nervous system through movement, sensation, and awareness.
•Parts Work (including Internal Family Systems and Ego State Therapy) helps individuals understand and integrate the different “parts” of themselves that emerge in response to trauma.
We’ll highlight the concept of Post-Traumatic Growth, emphasizing how individuals can emerge from trauma with renewed purpose, deeper relationships, and greater inner strength.
