Join us for an engaging pharmacy CEU webinar exploring the rapidly evolving role of incretin-based therapies in diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic care. This session will review the efficacy, safety, and clinical differences among currently available agents while highlighting emerging evidence supporting benefits beyond glycemic control and weight reduction, including cardiovascular and kidney outcomes. Participants will also gain insight into novel dual- and triple-agonist therapies currently shaping the future of treatment. Through guideline updates and clinical trial data, pharmacists and healthcare professionals will learn practical strategies to individualize patient selection, initiation, monitoring, and ongoing management of incretin-based therapies in clinical practice.

Continuing Education Credit For Pharmacists:
The University Of North Carolina Eshelman School Of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The program ACPE #(Pharmacist) provides 2.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit. To receive CE credit, you must complete the CE attendance form and the evaluation of the program. Statement of credit can be viewed and printed in CPE Monitor. Statements of CE Credit will be processed in approximately 2 to 3 weeks. **No partial credit will be available**

  • Compare the efficacy, safety, and clinical characteristics of currently available incretin-based therapies for diabetes and obesity.
  • Evaluate recent cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic outcomes data supporting incretin therapy use beyond glycemic control and weight reduction.
  • Describe emerging incretin agents and novel mechanisms, including dual- and triple-agonist therapies, and their potential role in future practice.
  • Apply guideline recommendations and clinical trial data to individualize patient selection, initiation, monitoring, and management of incretin-based therapy.
